Forward contract
A forward contract is a binding agreement to buy or sell a specified quantity of a product at a predetermined price, with delivery at a future date. In the BioAhead model, forward contracts are signed before the growing season begins — giving producers guaranteed buyers and buyers guaranteed supply. BioAhead manages both the producer-side and buyer-side contracts as a single corridor.

What are BioAhead's commercial terms?
Payment structure
50% advance on signed contract. Balance on delivery. The advance finances the entire corridor — farmer contracts, input support, processing, logistics, and documentation.
Lead time
Typical lead time is 30 to 60 days from signed agreement, depending on product and volume. Expedited timelines available for smaller orders.
Minimum order
100 kg per product. Larger volumes available on request. All pricing is per-shipment and provided on enquiry.
Shipping
All shipments airfreighted from South Africa. Standard delivery is FOB or CIF — DDP available on request. Packaging and format specified per contract.
Documentation
Every shipment includes: Certificate of Analysis (COA), GC/MS certification (where applicable), species verification, origin traceability, and INCI declaration for cosmetic-grade products.
