We are honest about what each type of engagement requires.

Senior embedded leadership is not always fully remote. We say this plainly because it matters to both parties. The scoping proposal addresses presence requirements before any engagement is agreed.

Senior leadership at this level requires meaningful physical presence, particularly in early stages. Stakeholder alignment, cultural navigation, and crisis management are harder from a screen. BioAhead's leaders are SA-based and will travel where the engagement requires it.

These engagements operate effectively on a hybrid basis with scheduled on-site presence and remote availability between sessions. The right balance is agreed during scoping.

Part-time advisory retainer

Advisory retainers operate predominantly remotely, with scheduled check-ins and governance sessions. This model is well suited to SA-based delivery and works across time zones with UK and European clients.

Travel requirements and associated costs are addressed in every scoping proposal before any engagement is agreed. There are no surprises after the commercial agreement is signed.

Following a scoping conversation and agreed proposal, mobilisation typically takes two to four weeks. This covers leader identification, engagement framework setup, and initial client onboarding. For urgent interim cover situations, BioAhead prioritises mobilisation speed — discuss your timeline during the scoping conversation.

What happens if the embedded leader underperforms?

BioAhead monitors delivery against agreed milestones throughout the engagement. If the leader is not performing, BioAhead addresses it directly. If the leader needs to be replaced, BioAhead manages the transition within the engagement at no additional cost. The client does not carry leadership performance risk alone.
